Waitingby TuckersmomComment by SandyP: What a great street photo! It looks like he's in such an expansive empty place. The sepia tones really add to the mood of the photo.

Slinkyby TuckersmomComment by The_Dentist: Good idea, and superb colors and lighting. Maybe better with the red end stretching more into space? |

Proudby TuckersmomComment by BAMartin: The eye is immediately drawn to the dog who is making eye contact. This is an excellent candid photo. |

Proudby TuckersmomComment by PHOTOKID: This is a nice street photo, the benches create a strong diagpnal that give depth. The dog who is staring at us is just above the lower right 3rd intersect and the girls face is on the upper right 3rd intersect. So the composition is technically good. IMO, the girls face is a bit soft maybe a bit more Dof would have brought out more detail. The only thing I do not like about the overall photo is the pole on the right side.
I think it you were to do a bit of Post processing, like contrast, saturation and maybe a crop to remove the pole, you could have a powerful street image from this.

Slinkyby TuckersmomComment by Rob O: Ahh, the Slinky ... is there any photographic subject this can't be used for? ;-) I like the vivid color and composition, for the most part. The only thing that bugs me is how the red end of the slinky appears to end abruptly. In on sense it's almost dynamic, as if the slinky were reaching out into the negative space; making it's next move if you will. However, I think it'd be more pleasing if that end terminated either in a perfect circle (versus the egg shape seen here) or carried on out of frame in the upper right corner. Regardless of that nitpicking ... nicely done. :) |
