Cowby TuckersmomComment by eamurdock: Well, I'm no farmer, but I'm pretty sure that's a bull. I can tell from the horns.
Pros:
Colors in the bull are wonderful; creamy-white to almost black, with that wonderful caramel brown in the middle... And the mottled patterns are beautiful. You found a great animal. Lighting is nice, and the presence of the little birds enlivens the scene for me.
Cons:
I think the greens seem a BIT oversaturated? Not sure about this one... they just seem a little electric to me. Compostionally, I'd rather see him a little bigger in the frame, and if possible, have the shot from a perspective where didn't look like he was balancing the horizon on his head.
Mind you, if I were taking the shot I'd be thoughtful about getting close and kneeling for the right perspective. |

Starfireby TuckersmomComment by RainMotorsports: Well this one is a bit blown and just bright. Typically its the camera trying to get both ends of the range and thats why camera's blow. Even with editing its hard to pull anything out of the highlights. If shooting for this particular image EV -1 and then use photoshop to pull details out of the shadows to compensate. More can be pulled out of shadows then highlights. |

Fordby TuckersmomComment by RainMotorsports: Out of the 3 im commenting on this is the best. Once again as with other users your working with a nice tight crop. I myself have trouble with these not sure what to cut out hate to cut anything out. At car shows its hard to get stuff out of the way. At first glance you dont think about it and until you see the reflection you dont notice the left side of the photo has been cut out or burned. Nothing wrong with it at all.
A black sheet in the background would have masked out some of the reflections well but no need for the horizon line it creates as the trees do a good enough job. |
