I like the green egg as using color to compose the shot. However, the closest peep is overexposed and the egg isn't near the center of the shot - so it's hard to figure out what is going on - why are there three? What if you did the same thing with the two ducks (mother and father?) looking over one green egg, like "why is it GREEN?" THAT is a colorful composition! :)

What are peepers? You've got a nice rich purple coming through here. I personally would have used a different color background though, not one the same color as your main subject.
