This is really quite different and special! The light adds an interesting texture but to some extent works against you as it is not quite in the right area aesthetically. Also, I would consider cloning ou the brown stick in the foreground. Overall, I really like this.

It's very nice to see an insect in flight in your macro shot. It's too bad the focus is on the leaf instead of the fly. You did a good job though - I tried and tried to get a flying bug and found it totally impossible to focus on one!

forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. it seems to be more of a macro shot than a miniature, but maybe that's my problem. the lighting is a little strong, and the shadow at the bottom is distracting. it might help to rotate the image so that the line from top to bottom is either parallel to the border, or more of a diagonal.

Hmmm, interesting texture to the surface of the water. Cool froggies! I didn't notice them for a few seconds, I was distracted by the interesting texture. I'd like a little more saturated blue, but it's still good.
