Chubby cheeks. Very cute pup. The shot needs some focus and your light is a bit strong. Also try to have a plain backgroud (print shirt).

Although I don̢۪t say this is a bad picture I have scored this low.
Low in my book is not extremely low, but I guess there will be other people thinking the same way I do who don̢۪t leave a comment.
Don̢۪t take this the wrong way, this is my own opinion, and I am trying to let you understand what some voters may think.

In my opinion this does not meet the challenge, the description of the challenge: Take a picture that captures an emotion.
I looked hard, but I don̢۪t see an emotion. This could be my fault, but that̢۪s the reason why I voted lower as I would normaly do.

Nice capture! Bassets, love em. Seems to be a pup, so does not give that full basset blue look. Some how the focus seems out a bit, and the nose a wee bit to much shine. Focus loved the lower left though and the paw on the lower right. Artistically, they eye seems a little dead, red eye maybe? 6.

Doesnt really seem like there is a strong focus in the picture which really grabs my attention. Maybe try it cropping out the left half so that the sun-lit bush is more prominent?
