Comment by kawhona:
hmmmm I am not sure those warts are actually circles elipsoids maybe ... I think if the light could have been better balanced over the whole frog or toad whichever it may be it would have made for a nicer shot.

Comment by Gatorguy:
Kind of an odd angle and the eyes should be tack sharp for an image like this.

Nice colors. Good capture and nicely focused. Interesting perspective in a challenge full of simular shots.

You just don't see many macros of toads... but you got it, warts and all. The background detracts a bit, but the circles on the toad's back, along with his visible eye, are the main focal point - satisfies the challenge to me.

This shot has potential. I think the main thing that could be improved is the focus. If you look at the wing on the right, or the bee's abdomen, those appear to be more in focus than the torso or head of the bee. I would also try a lower angle (less straight on at the flower) and to the front of the bee. It would add a little 3D effect to it. Plus, if you keep the shallow DOF, the head would be sharp while the abdomen would be slightly blurred, thus adding more to the 3D effect.

Don't really see the leading lines, but nice macro.
