WAY underrated in my opinion. Looks like an old WWII photograph of a stark, desolate camp somewhere. I don't know if that's what you were going for, but that's what I saw in it. I quite like it.

I think this works very well for low key - you brought out the texture and design on the flask very well. My only nit would be that the separation of the base of the flask from the surface upon which it is sitting is hard to discern.

Pretty! (but uh, manly too ;-) I like its tonal balance and the embossing on the flask. Low key challenges are a pita, such dissension about what the term really means. Hey, if this shot were in a regular challenge, you'd probably get 'too dark!' comments. Go figger. Pfft. Anyway, be happy, it's a lovely picture to add to your collection.

i am not sure why this did not do better, it has a strong message, good composition , focus, etc...

but i agree with noraneko maybe it was not low key enough , that's why it got hammered by voters.

Very "old fashioned" looking. I really like it alot. It has a lot of warmth and for lack of a better word, flavor to it.
