The comfort of momby bmartuchComment by JuliBoc: What a beautiful child and a tender moment. Lovely light and soft focus. I like the colors too. I'm really surprised this didn't score at least in the mid fives. |

The comfort of momby bmartuchComment by jaysonmc: Very cute photo. I like the lighting in the face of the child. It creates a nice soft feeling. Should not be a sub-5 image. |

The comfort of momby bmartuchComment by Tammer: When I put my hand on the right third of your imamge to cover up the hand, I find I like your image better. It puts my focus more on the little girl. Good lighting. |

The comfort of momby bmartuchComment by lovethelight: adorable, well composed, the colors are off so I think a black and white of this would have looked better and then the graininess would have matched the rest of the photo |

Baseball 1863by bmartuchComment by Melethia: This was one I did get to in voting, and I swear I thought I left a comment... apparently I did not, but had I done so I can assure you the commenter average would be much higher. I did indeed get the All American references and thought the sepia, grain, and even the brightness of it very well suited to the photo. |

Baseball 1863by bmartuchComment by canary: I like the idea and the sepia but a stronger contrast and a slight change of angle would have made it a more powerful image. And not being anti-American or anything the flag in the foreground distracts too much from the subject. |
