the elements of the image themselves don't tell me a resonance point to the challenge theme. i have to rely on the title for that. BUT, I like this image a lot, including the focus points, the nice dof/background blue, the contrasting clothing and face. 8, despite the previously mentioned issue about title and lack of challenge theme in the image itself. I hope you don't think this is a flippant or petty comment, but i'd have rated higher than 8 if instead of xxi, the hooded vest had Vs or even 5s.

Without looking at the title, this photo does not fit in to the 'five' idea. I think that most voters like pictures to be able to stand on their own, or at least like to be able to see how a photo relates to the challenge and use the title to fill out the details.

i dont think that this image really depicts the number five in a clear way. without reading the title i would not know if it had anything to do with 5. I dont think that declaring that the subject is a certain age should qualify it for a 'number' challenge. just my opinion though, and i know, it stinks. other than that i think that the framing of the picture is nice and the image does capture the youngster's emotion. Im limiting it to a 6 because of relavence to the challenge

I love the courthouse, but to be honest, the cars detract from the image a bit. They distract from the subject, I guess, and don't fit in with the ornate stone theme. Also there's quite a bit of noise in the sky. But I really like the courthouse, did I say that? ;)

The right side of this photo adds nothing to the rest of the image which is interesting with unusual lighting. The image (IMO) would be stronger cropped square, cutting it off right behind the foremost car. Often the obstackles to a good photo are difficult to overcome, such as flood lights, which you dramatized by the added sharpening. I like it on the building, not on the lights or the cars. A couple steps difference in angle (if possible) would have made a huge difference.

Great courthouse. I like the green cast. Go back and get the same shot without the cars and you'll have one to mount and hang on the wall
