I'm Ready !by megryanComment by dipaulk: Your choice of black and white was wise -- it helps lessen the distraction of the background. The dog is beautiful, there's light in his eyes, and he's nicely in focus. I can't figure out why you used selective desaturation here. It draws attention to the dog's toy rather than the main subject, the beautiful dog. I'm tired tonight, so hope this isn't coming across harshly -- I hope it is helpful feedback. :) |

I'm Ready !by megryanComment by annasense: I'm not a fan of the selective desat on this... it really takes away from the beautiful dog!! |

I'm Ready !by megryanComment by saiphfire: IMO for this contest it would have been better to make everything except the dog b/w rather than the toy. |

I'm Ready !by megryanComment by redskymedic: This is just a personal preference, but I thikn it would have looked better without the colorization. It's an excellent shot of the dog! |

I'm Ready !by megryanComment by Xilebo: Nice post processing although leaving the eyes in original color could have been nice...a little too much dodge over nose as well, magnificent animal..... |

I'm Ready !by megryanComment by Sammie: I think this would have been so much more a classic portrait without the colored dog toy. This desat takes the emphasis off the dog and makes the plastic dog toy the subject of the photo. |
