Couple things with this picture. The aperture has to be smaller for this photo to work. The lemon looks focused at the top but the orange is out of focus, considerably so for this type of shot. The blue is way oversaturated because the orange appears black around the edges of it. Honestly I think the idea is very good though.

Great textures in the foreground, would like more dof to see into the strawberry part of the pin cushion. Also, I feel the background could be all white, or all black.. the dark/light gradient distracts from the subject.
Love the different colors of the pin heads sticking out.

Really great idea for this Challenge. Nice colours. Good focus to a point. Did you fade out on the right on purpose? Because it's all out of focus over there and on the bottom from the yellow pin on down.
