to me the eyeball touching the frame messes up the composition a bit leaving that super crowded feeling, I do really like the crop/composition but think that a bit more room there would have improved it

This is a great shot. Really captured the moment. I love the colours (gives it a polaroid feel) and the wide-angle effect is excellent, I think the clouds and the sky really add to the composition here.
