I haven't looked at your color version yet and when I saw this I couldn't figure out what it was. Eventually I 'got it' but without a strong focal point, it was tough.

I have to admit that I saw the color version first and I thought the photo was not going to work in BW. And then I saw the BW version --I was wrong! It has a very different feel but equally good. I love all the texture.

Very nice, as is your colored version. It looks like some kind of landscape in B&W.

Perhaps a square crop (without the top) and some more detail in the fire would help.

Yeah good comment, It's been made a couple of times. Interestingly I had to redo the photo as I added lens glare the first time and it would not be allowed under advanced editing rules.

The first time I added noise before resize and it was quite light so on the second edit I added after resizing and now it is to harsh, I'll just have to adjust it better next time.
