b/w works so well in the picture! we have tons of farms out here with llamas (or alpaca's some call them) this makes me want to go shoot (take pictures of, not shoot with a gun!) them.

Interesting the look of a night shot in B&W - never thought of it... I think it looks good. You made a nice composition and balanced the large area of water with the luminous building. I wish it was a bit sharper but reading the story about the hand rail, I think you did well with what you had. This is a case where getting the shot is more important than technical perfection IMO.
