I'm sorry, but this is really not such a good picture of a dog. Out of focus and the b&w doesn't add to it. the red eyes give it a very amateuristic look.

I actually like this despite seeing a few technical issues that arent the best. The main issue is the backdrop used, you can see the crumples and texture in the cloth, although part of me wonders if that was intentional. I like the green, it adds a nice dash of color to the composition. Everything seems in focus, the lighting looks natural, which gives it a kind of fresh feel. It's appealing.

Hi Bob. Yuk, I hate spiders. the photo is good. The DOF is excellent, and the exposure is also good. I probably would have tried for a tighter crop or a little bit more zoom in order to get the "dirt" on the left (looks like dead bugs) out of the photo and to get the spider off-center.

The even lighting works well. The leaves around the top certainly enhance the image. This looks like a photograph from a restaurant menu, its well presented.
