I think that the composition is a little too sterile. In my opinion, the idea could have been improved greatly with he use of candles and no telephone – I think the phone is overkill. The notion of the solitary novelist writing in the wee small hours would have been a nice ideaâ€Â¦ This is just my opinion – good luckâ€Â¦ (6)

Nice subjects! I think this is a good setup. I like that the lamp is lit, but I don't see quite enough light on the other subjects and there is a distractive glare on the desk top from the lamp. I'm thinking that a soft fill light would bring out the needed detail for the other subjects. A polarizer might help with the reflection from the lamp though I doubt that it would completely eliminate it.

Beautiful image. Enjoy looking at this and definitely will revisit lateron this week. Love the warm light of the image. It creates a nice intimacy and a real nostalgic longing for the good old past. Well, well done!
