New Growthby waltomlComment by HillWalk: It might have been better at a different angle. Perhaps slanted. But the rule of thirds would help. It has very good detail. |

New Growthby waltomlComment by Journey: The lights in the background are just a little too blurred and gives an unpleasant feel. The plant is nice but it is lined up exactly as the tree ? behind it and the plant is also smack in the middle of the image. |

Office 1915by waltomlComment by drewmedia: Nice challenge interpretation. I'm usually one for a good, interactive angle on photos, though... rather than a far-off, documentary style shot. I think a change of perspective would liven this image up a lot. |

Office 1915by waltomlComment by Willa: Nice sujbect matter, not so good angle, and the lantern on the left is too bright in contrast with the darkness of the phone. This throws the 'balance' of the photo off a bit and commands the eye's attention to just the lantern. Again, good subject choice. |

Office 1915by waltomlComment by KarenB: Neat antiques. The angle leaves me wondering if shooting from a lower and a bit from the left angle may have been more interesting? "Office 1915" would capture me and be more believable if this were in sepia or something... I know that using sepia may have seemed cliche, but I think it would really work with this shot. |

Office 1915by waltomlComment by Swashbuckler: Tom, I really like this composition. The wall seems a little barren, but that is asking for a fifth element to this shot (probably asking too much). Were I to make any kind of suggestion at all, try a tighter arrangement of these three elements and shoot closer to the subjects. Some action might be nice, like hand(s) on the keyboard or phone (or both). Type your message over and over again, redrum, redrum, redrum, redrum....(or vote a high score... whatever) 9 Swash |
