The Apple Tree House circa mid 1700by graphicfunkComment by outland: Aren't the power lines annoying? Of course, without them I couldn't be sitting here using my electriclly powered computer.
And in this case they seem to add to the feeling of this beauty being passed by. If you could have backed off just enough to get more of the front grounds without loosing the chimney might havel helped but I like it a lot just like it is. |

Off Centerby graphicfunkComment by dahkota: wish I could do that! only thing I don't like is the illusion that the hand is floating. I would kind of rather it be attached to a body. :) |

The Apple Tree House circa mid 1700by graphicfunkComment by notonline: I'm not fond of the angle of this shot. I find it makes the photo look lop sided or unbalanced. The wires in the shot also are also very distracting and the photo generally looks more like a snap shot the a planned shot. Perhaps a more thought out subject would have scored better in this challenge. good luck in this challenge. |

Off Centerby graphicfunkComment by muur88: Mr. Funk, Your work is usually very intriguing and obviously very stylized. Not that I'm any one to concern yourself with but I generally really like it or I really don't. In this case it feels too static or staged for the action presented, unlike your "Sore Loser" where you conveyed action in stopped motion to perfection. Perhaps spreading the fragments out a bit more or adding some more angle to the broken off piece would jazz things up. I'll shut up now as you get your 6+, which seems to easily elude me. Apparently I have way too much time on my hands tonight...the little sliver to the right seems hard to avoid. If you aren't who I thought and this is a real karate chop, I apologize, and I'll quietly go back to watching late night infomercials instead of making stupid comments. |

The Apple Tree House circa mid 1700by graphicfunkComment by moswyn: Aargh! Power lines! The bane of every architectural photographer! I think you have a great subject here. What I really like about this picture is the blue shutters. Would love to see this with the saturation kicked up a bit, no power lines, and perhaps somehow avoid the fence, if possible? |

The Apple Tree House circa mid 1700by graphicfunkComment by PhilipDyer: Thi is a really excellent subject for this challenge. When you have to shoot through this many power lines, you might be better of to just focus on a smaller section of the house and shoot only that smaller part from closer up. Still, you did a great job finding a nice abandoned house to shoot. |
