A very competant image of a passenger train, this image does not suffer from any major flaws and is a complete technical success. From an artistic standpoint, it fails to evoke any sort of interest or feeling either negative or positive. This image would be a good stock shot for use in a brochure or advertising material. A good entry into the challenge.

Okay, on the one hand, I think the wires and everything are really neat. On the other, I find them very visually distracting. I think a shallower DOF might aide that a bit.

An artistic success with the various angles and interesting features, but from a technical standpoint, it falls short of being a contender. A little better treatment would include some more saturation and perhaps a longer focal length to bring the entire subject into more focus.
