snow gullsby byoungComment by Davideo: Second image of gulls in the snow. I like your image. Lots of light on white without harsh shadowing. |

snow gullsby byoungComment by srbrubaker: I imagine the light was really warm, but I think the photo would be improved if the whites were less yellow. I realize that one does not just line up three seagulls and shoot them from whichever angle one chooses, arranging the lighting direction to suit the purpose, but I found the arrangement to be a little static. |

snow gullsby byoungComment by NathanWert: I like this. The snow looks a tad (and I do mean just a tad) yellow to me, but that's okay I'm still going to vote you high on this one. |

organ grinder manby byoungComment by pogopog: A wonderful portrait...really a fetching photograph... but, the humor part falls short for me.. However, it's a successful picture in it's own rights, I'd say it's a "bell ringer." One other thing, and it may be my monitor, I'd like to see the contrast taken up just a tiny amount. I don't think it will kill off the wonderful shadow detail but rather give the image a little more "snap." |

weathervaneby byoungComment by Arcanist: I'm having a hard time with the leap from weatervane to technology although I recogize that we now have weather stations that are very high tech. It's intepretive artistically. The most distracting element of this image is the reversed N-S. Admittedly, this is a result of wind, but it takes away from an otherwise well presented and cropped image with solid contrast and coloring. |
