Lighting is too garish. Also the subject doesn't stand out. The eye is first drawn to all the busyness at center and center left which is uninteresting.

boy, you were lucky to get these...they are a LOT FASTER than one would be lead to believe. i hope this isn't getting overlooked in this huge challenge, and that you are getting good feedback. this is always a tough time of day to shoot, especially with the harsh lighting. good luck with this, and all the challenges yet to come!

Hehe, really like the title. The image itself unfortunately appears a little haphazard and washed out. I'd like to see this in less intense sunlight, with a bit more contrast and perhaps a little closer in around the turtles, they really are amazing creatures.

What a lucky find you have in your subject! I'm sure they didn't pose for long.... It seems the exposure could be better--perhaps burning in on the heads would help? There's a great amount of detail lost in the highlights on the shells, as well. A decent family portrait, it just lacks punch.

Cute turtles. The lighting is harsh. The use of a circular polarizer would have cut the glare and the water and probably on the turtles as well.
