Excellent lighting and the shadows its producing look great. unfortunately I think the bug is going to cost you points, especially because you used the term sympathy, and very few people have sympathy for bugs.

This seems a tad out of focus to me. I think a single blossom would denote the sense of a loss better than two. I'd clone out the bug as it doesn't realy lend itself to the category you chose. I like the idea of the fully opened blossom - like it's served it's time here on earth.

if this were a visual scavenger hunt, you would win! Those are huge bubbles. But the subject "blasted" with light from your onboard flash, but not enough light to light the bubbles, the straight on angle, and the visually cluttered background make this feel like a snapshot. Snapshots will always score low.

Don't be discouraged by my comments or your low score. Look at what wins on this site and try to replicate it - it's what I'm trying to do, and I'm learning tons. I hope my comments help.

It took my eyes a moment to see the bubbles at first. The "goddess" is so strong in this photo with the color of outfit and lighting, that for me, the rest of the photo is lost...including the bubbles.
