hmmm...I think this could have been really cool if you had caught a rat nibbling on the crumbs. But, no rat...no shadow (just dark)...no interest (I may be biased against the subject since I'm constantly cleaning up someone else's crumbs)==>no big points.

I know shadows are supposed to be dark, so please don't think I'm an idiot, but the upper side of the picture is a little too dark for me, based on how bright the front is. Were you using the camera's flash? If so, maybe cutting it off and using another light source (sometimes I've made a flashlight work okay) to keep from getting a blare right in front.

An interesting concept. The foreground is so prominent though that if it were me I'd try a little harder to hold that in focus also.
