The elf in the foreground dominates the photo, but is way too dark to see, to close and from behind. The rest of the scene seems nice, but the elf blocks much of the photo. I kinda like the stars on the lights, but they need to be crossed or starred further (star filter probably required here) 5 Swash

I like the idea for this, but I think the main cuddly character blocks out too much of the picture. Because the light source is on the other side from him, he is too dark.
The fairy lights have come out really well though - I have tried many times to take pics of the decorated tree, with the fairly lights, and had atrocious results. Mostly because the automatic light meter can't cope and I am too scared/ lacking in expertise to go for manual settings.

Without the tree, this would be a much better shot. Maybe the shot from behind or in front would have put is more in the action.
