This is excellent. You chose the right lighting for using this technique since ther is much definition and the subject of the shot is clear with plentiful texture and dynamic shapes. I agree that this is very 'hangable'.

Added later: I'd never thought of taking pictures of people with these camera settings - I'd thought if it as "printed matter" pictures, or as architecture abstracts. This gives me a whole new set of ideas :)))

Hi and greetings from the CC. Well, I like the deep richness of your color tones in this shot, esp of the bottom red ornament, the gold looks slightly overprocessed, tho. I think the composition is a little crowded and shots that have one thing to focus on generally do better IMO. The lighting seems ok in most of the shot however, not sure what the fabric is of top bow but your light is producing a strange effect on it. IMO, this is a hard challenge being that we were told to use 'ugly' subjects really, but I think generally in composition try to keep it simple. Hope that helps a little, keep shooting.
