This is great for the Chinese Zodiac - not only is the dog a good choice (breed), in a good position, the tree/bush it's in front of is a great shape and the ground is a great color. Maybe a slightly tighter crop on the right or a little less blurriness on the back right ground and it'd be perfect to my eyes. Maybe too a little more definition (a lighting issue maybe?) on the dog's black face. I really like this.

The composition is cute. Tho small, I'm sure this dog is faithful, determined, energetic and has a big heart. The green of the tree and the red of the soil go well with the dog's color. I like how it looks with the top half cropped too - maybe not as cute, but attention is more drawn to the dog.

I personally found the tilt disruptive and did nothing for the image. Would also have liked to have seen you move slightly to the right to get rid of what appears to be a broken concrete litter bin. I think the condition of the pole, pavement and seller would still have looked stark against the modern car/buildings roadway. I think about 1.5 shots extra exposure would have helped pull some facial detail out.
