1 - Not HDR in my opinion

3 - HDR is way over-done, in my opinion

5 - A reasonable use of HDR, but not a very engaging photo, in my opinion

Would have been better as a pure silhouette and possibly cropped a bit more of the sky out. Longer DOF with some sharpening. It would never have won a ribbon its to different (and I like that) but maybe would have scored higher. DPC certainly encourages excellence but I'm not convinved that it encourages artistic inovation.

I like this although i feel it would be better if you went the whole way and turned it into a complete silhouette. The parts of brown and red distract i feel.

I like the composition here but in a pigeon challenge I would like to see the pigeons a little better. They are awefully small in the picture and are to dark to make out any detail. It certainly meets the challenge but there is not much else going on to make up for it.
