An interesting composition of shapes and color to convey a mood or feeling. Love the bright and bold orange ball; it DOES make me think of the sun. It just pops off the black backdrop. The slice of freeform that contains green can make one think about nature and trees, but because the main shape invokes imagery of the sky I see the green ripples as an aurora borealis. One small critique - I think the large border takes a little away from the appeal of the image. The orange thin line calls attention away from your main subject - I feel that orange ball should shine alone in the composition.

I know this is glass, probably an art glass bowl. I have one (nothing like this - finer and completely different colors) and I tried and tried to get a good macro of it for this challenge. Finally gave up. You have done so well with everything I struggled with: light, focus and composition.

Rim of a vase? Great use of colour and light. I don't think the thick black border does anything at all for the image, it's very distracting.
