Doesn't look like it's sublimating. However, I think you could improve this by choosing a darker pan so there is more contrast in the scene. I would also allow more room at the top because you are trying to show how a solid goes to a gas without first becoming a liquid so the vapor is a primary element. Might also be better to use dry ice next time too.

Don't see any opposites. Way out of focus. Can't quite figure out if this is ice being dropped in a glass of water or sitting on something (the circular grooves would suggest it is sitting on something but what?)

I'm not understanding this image. Melting ice? ice and steam? Solid ice and water drops? Anyway, the monochromatic scheme isn't giving your picture any life. The image doesn't convey OPPOSITES to me, except with a stretch.
