Hot Hot Hot!!! by awpollardComment by awpollard: Originally posted by colorcarnival: Ok so I want to know how to do something like this. I love how you have the bottle popping out of a frame. Can you give me some hints? It looks so cool in this photo. |
I use PSP X2 -
Work up the background layer.
Frame on its own Layer.
Duplicate the background layer and move it on top of the frame layer.
Erase/mask everything but the frame on the top layer.
I did a more in-depth tut for SD dSLR group here: //www.sandiegodslr.com/?q=node/140 (again PSPx2 but still applies to PS) |

I'd like to see things your way...by awpollardComment by awpollard: I hate over driven laptop displays. I just pulled this up on my laptop and see spots all over MM. The shot was edited on my recently calibrated CRT that I have right next to this. Oh well, I may fix and replace when I get home. Ed: Did curves to darken and remove speckles on bright monitors.

Hot Hot Hot!!! by awpollardComment by bobnospum: Love the colors and the frame treatment (and I hate frames, so that it a big atta-boy from me). Very nice composition. Perhaps a wider DOF to get his feet in focus as well. |

Hot Hot Hot!!! by awpollardComment by arron_christensen: I love the popping out of the border effect. Great saturation of color, focus is perfect, and the poses that he can bend into give you almost limitless possibilities. By the way, what kinds of lights do you use. Your lighting has been superb so far. |
