I like the color and the subject. IMHO, maybe things are a little too chaotic. I found my eye kind of wandering around the photo looking for a dominant subject or place to rest my eyes. Good effort.

I also took a shot of some maize, but decided to enter something else. From the look of your finish I should have entered the corn!

When I was a kid I took some and planted it and grew quite a bit -- this kind gets 6-8 feet high; most of the ears would come out multicolored, but a few would be a beautiful solid red or purple. One or two ears is enough to sow a sizable plot.

Lovely colours but composition seems weak to me. The lovely leaves at the top of the corn cobs seem too harshly cropped and yet there is too much of a gap at the right that could be cropped out.
