Bamboo 3by pjangelComment by slaakso: Yep, I agree that this is the best of the three bamboos you have posted today. I enjoy seeing the curve of the leaf with the straightness of the bamboo. Wonderful. |

Bamboo 2by pjangelComment by slaakso: I do like the 1st photo better, this seems a bit soft and the colors muted. |

Another try by pjangelComment by JMart: I like this shot better than the first. The first does have some nice textures, but this one has a more interesting composition and I like the focus better here. Nice angle on this. |

Bamboo 1by pjangelComment by ShutterPug: yup - I agree with the previous comment 100%. I'd also suggest if you can having the shutter lock up turned on. |

Bamboo 3by pjangelComment by Arcanist: This one is by far the cream of the shoot. Focus is nice and crisp. DOF perfect for blurring the background. A bit of USM on this would pop it off the page, but it is not necessary to sharpen any further. Zen would let be what is on this one. |

Bamboo 2by pjangelComment by Arcanist: I have to agree with the suggestion that a narrower crop may have some impact, but your square choice does not detract from the image. Instead, it is the soft focus that hurts an image that has much more potential. Once you've stabilized the camera using a tripod, consider bringing in a light source that can throw some shadows in a very narrow placement to add even more interest to this image. |

Bamboo 1by pjangelComment by Arcanist: Composition, placement, section of the subject chosen, background colors all perfect. The image seems to suffer from camera shake or focus that is off just slightly. With an apt of 16, this first in your series should be as crisp as the shoots themselves. Use of a tripod and timed shutter release combined with an application of USM would put this into the six to eight range. |

Bamboo 3by pjangelComment by EstimatedEyes: Very zen like. I really like the triptych approach to this image ... the three together are much more effective than any one individual image (though I chose to post in this one because it is, to my eye, the most pleasing stand alone composition of the three). |
