There is a huge WOW factor here - amazing image. The back light was a brilliant observation in particular considering the subject. The flat tones and intricate detail just add to the image's quality presentation. One of my favs in this challenge so far. Well done.

Intrigued as to whether this is a 'super-macro' or a photo of an ornament of some sort. This is one of those rare occasions when knowing the difference would actually affect my score, but all I can do is comment on the image as presented. The shades of grey, with the almost metalic sheen are rather lovely and it is an image that has made me stop and look. I find the 'blackground' a little dominating, and wish it was somehow softer. Looking forward to reading your photographer notes.
