The Old Port of Portlandby csbComment by Patella: I see what would have been two great shots -- but I don't think they work that well together. I love the contrast of green fixtures and grass and red brick of the tavern/bar/restaurant as much as I love all the bright colors of the kite shop. I think you would have had a much more intriguing shot if you'd focus on one business or the other instead of trying to include both of them. |

The Old Port of Portlandby csbComment by stephan: i would have made a step forward ;-) that way the dark and distracting wooden fence would be out and more of the interesting stuff in the background could be seen. the colorful baloons and banners catch my interest but that's not what's in focus. photo 6, creativity 6, city life 7 = 6 |

The Old Port of Portlandby csbComment by Swashbuckler: Very colorful. W/o the title, I would have guessed New Orleans. Very nice, only suggestion would be crop the right side and bottom. Good job! Photo 9 City 9 total 9 |

The Old Port of Portlandby csbComment by KarenB: Nice depiction of city life. A little different ange (from the left and closer to the ground) would have eliminated the fencing on the right, and given a clearer image of the people enjoying themselves. I know, you were trying to be discreet. This is my problem, too. I don't have the courage to go out and make myself obvious....yet! |
