Sweeping the Sky Fantasticby charmayneComment by scubagrl: The deep hues and colors in this photograph are so dramatic - love the dark shapes of the wind-blow trees against a moody midnight-blue sky. Well done indeed! |

Rail Failby charmayneComment by snackwells: Clever title and nice composition. I think you handled the exposure on this image quite nicely, given the bright reflection off the surface of the water. |

Rail Failby charmayneComment by Bear_Music: Almost there... almost. If it were cropped so there were almost no sky and there was correspondingly more foreground, it could be very nice. Also, the fence itself needs to have some of the ble/cyan removed and the yellow/red bumped up, so it pops a bit more. |

Rail Failby charmayneComment by geewhy: I like this shot..the twisted shape of the fence is quite intriguing and compositionally, I can`t fault it...you have divided it up well with the fence making a nice diagonal to divide the image neatly.
I would love to have seen the fence as the main subject with the background softly blurred by the use of shallow DOF as I think it competes for attention because of the reflections.
This however, is my personal taste and in no way reflects on the quality of the image...very nice work. |

Rail Failby charmayneComment by e301: Neat stuff. has a sense of the over-sharpened but at very low radius that makes the fince seen almost super-imposed, and is also reminiscent of Gordon Whyte's work. The grey winter afternoon, and light on the wood are good. Strong compositionally too. |
