While I really appreciate your choice of subject matter, it seems like this image is a bit underexposed, so to speak. :-) Maybe you could boost the saturation a bit?

Gorgeous. I like the way you focus on just a few, yet allow us to sense the magnitude of the full fiel and the large appetite that is too be met by this crop. A 10. This is going on my list of favorites.

Wheat, or is this oats?, are a fascinating subject. This image had a lot of potential. I'm afraid it is to bright, over exposed to be really effective. THe foreground element is not detailed enough, maybe it's just too under lit, to pull off being the star, which is what it's placement suggets it to be. The dof could work here with a little more light in the foreground, using different settings to not have the rest too bright, or possible some post processing work to alter the light - epxosure. Good effort.

Thank you, everyone for the comments. I know that I would have done better, if I had used more light. But it was taking away from the from the back ground. Was not going to use this one anyways we were tired and my subject was sleppy (my wife). For those who thought she was he lmao.

Peculiar framing. I would've cropped out the lighted portion of the right side. Image is noisy and I'm having trouble finding the subject of your picture. Interesting shapes and lines.

I like the subject, but am not wild about the composition. I think the length and shape of the grain could be used to strengthen the composition, maybe having some prevalent diagonals. There doesn't seem to be much form to the subject here, and imho, the more interesting subject is the taller strand to the left, though the focus is on the center. The exposure itself is good (though a little oversharpened).

Lighting: Even though the tone of this portrait is dark and moody, the backlight is working very well to give a solid separation. I realize the mood was desired, but I think it went too far. The eyes are by far too dark and very little distinction in the paint around the mouth.
Pose: Well suited for the desired effect, although I am sure you will get counted off for the landscape crop.
Background: Works well for the intended mood.

Wonderful concept, and a great set up , a little dark, the colors are perfect. and I like the halo effect in the background, this would have been a phenominal shot if it had been a little brighter. I would definitely consider doing this again if I were you, (in another challenge) a little brighter an you would have a winner! 7
