Augustby Prime_TimeComment by charmayne: like the contrast in this b/w maybe would have cropped out the partial tree on the left. |

Hmmmby Prime_TimeComment by wtowers: Good choice of props and well exposed. Well done. Just a hint of flash out in the foreground that detracts a point. |

What burns your flameby Prime_TimeComment by Dr.Confuser: On my monitor which I routinely calibrate, I can see none of the detail that would make this a spectacular capture. The flame is blown out and the dark areas have lost all detail. IMO greater subtlty with exposure and/or post processing would have helped. I'm not very good at this so it's just an opinion but it doesn't light my fire. |

Hmmmby Prime_TimeComment by hyphaefungi: Nice title. I like everything. I'm not sure if I like the use of a flash. It might've worked better with the whole bowl. But a very appealing on topic picture. |

What burns your flameby Prime_TimeComment by annasense: I think this could be improved if it were either centered completely or pushed definitively off-center into one of the power points (in the rule of thirds). The subject doesn't wow me, either. It's a nice, saturated flame, though. :) |

Hmmmby Prime_TimeComment by Beetle: I believe you used a direct flash for this photo, which accounts for the harsh light and the strong reflection on the apple. The photo would look much less of a snapshot with better, softer lighting. |
