Excellent colors but I find it lacks clarity altho that could be due to the size. Nice composition and perfect weather/contrast to the sky. I think it would make for a great postcard or calendar shot. Good luck in this challenge.

This has potential, but could be improved in a few ways IMO. The detail is nice, but maybe a bit too much contrast. The background is a bit distracting probably mostly due to the excessive contrast. The lighting looks nice, and the pose is very nice. I think the composition would be improved by shifting the subject to the left side of the frame or cropping much closer on the left. The background is competing with the subject for the viewers attention and should be an afterthought.

Great job with a tough subject (black dog). Looks like you turned up the contrast or USM . My suggestion would be to mask the background when you do that so you only accentuate the detail in the dog and not the background. Anyway, you've captured a great look on a beautiful dog!
