Strong composition, even stronger if the lower bush is not present, in my opinion. Tried looking at this in B&W, and I must say it makes a stunning black and white image, especially if you "burn in" a bit of the sky, and clone out the bush. (making it DPC illegal) Hope I gave you some things to try in your image editing program! :)

Awesome tree. I don't think you need quite as much sky on the right as you left. Really nice shot.

f8.5 gave you a surprisingly good blur on the background. I actually thought of this song but, since I don't live anywhere near paradise, decided I couldn't do it justice. I WOULD rather see more light on the burger since it is the subject. The BK wrapper is very annoying. I imagine it more with a little tropical umbrella drink and a really nice plate.
My first thought when I saw this was "where's the beef"? That's a LOT of cheese, and I'm not really sure that you needed that much extra to make it a cheeseburger. I like the crop and the placement of the burger. I don't think you need the frame.
My mom loved JB.

Good grief! I just checked to see where you placed and am really surprised how low it is. I should be able to find more wrong with this shot, huh? :oP Maybe the moral is that hamburgers don't have a lot of wow value with dpc voters (apparently neither do worms by the way). I think you shoulda used the song title as the photo title for sure. Those "does not meet challenge" votes will kill ya. *lol* Read the other comments & I'm not the only one wondering if there's more than just cheese on that burger.

I was just telling my wife last week that I\'ve been looking for a really cool, solitary tree that I can photograph on the crest of a hill. This is definitely a cool tree. I like the patches of green grass, and the sky is nice. I find the bush a little distracting, but you can\'t do anything about that with the editing rules. I\'d clone it out, though, for printing or other purposes. The only other thing I would have tried would be to get a lower vantage point. I would have liked to see the base of the tree at the crest of the hill, rather than having more \'land\' behind the tree trunk. If I had access to this place, I would go back and photograph it often... lots of different skys, sunsets, sunrises, rain, snow, meteor storms, etc!! I like this a lot and I give it an 8! I hope it does well in the challenge! Good luck,
JD Anderson
One other think... I'm not sure I like the white border... actually, i'm pretty sure that I don't. You really don't have any white tones in the image to draw out with the white border. I may have gone all black, but this is a very minor detail.

It's a lovely tree and I like the photo, although I might have considered including more of the hill (depending on what it looked like. Having the tree on the left third line is very good - I might have aimed for the top third line as well. Colours, focus and border are all nice, well done.

I love the simple composition here, lovely balance. I wonder if shooting later in the day would add a bit more interest to the sky, but at the same time it was a good idea not to include a sunset!

I love solitary tree photo's. I cant seem to put my finger on whats lacking. Maybe too much empty space to the right of center, causing imbalance?or the lines draw you eyes off the page?maybe both, I'll still give it an 8
