I like this shot as well. Something about it is bugging me though. I can't quite put a finger on it. My shot has the same feel. Maybe it's too normal looking. I'm not sure.

Nice edit. Her eyes look great! I really like the closer crop and the blush of her cheeks.

Well, I did say that morning/evening light was preferrable, but not exactly *required*.. You do what you have to do, glad you could submit :)

What we have here, I think, is a common problem when you add other elements into a portrait shot. The camera seems to have focused on the flowers, leaving your subject less sharp than the flowers are. The edges of her hair also seem to have more focus than her face and eyes, which, for portraiture, isn't a good idea. I'd just be concious about this sort of thing in the future, and with post-processing, it can be fixable to a point, so we can concentrate on that next.

As for the rest of the photo, it looks pretty good. You've got nice fill-light in her eyes and skin (reflector, or was she facing the sunlight?), nice expression, pretty good pose/composition (I'd crop out more of the bottom when you post, personally.. but others may tell you different). The flowers to me, are still just a distraction, but that's *completely* up to personal taste really, so don't worry too much about that.

Go ahead a start your post-processing on this. I'll be really busy until later tonight (around 9pm Pacific), so I won't be able to comment until after then, but try to focus on getting her face and eyes a little sharper, and maybe softening the sharpness on those flowers just a hair, so that they aren't so prominent. Other than that, just do your usual processing, and we'll discuss more then.

Beautiful baby and excellent composition. Nice family photo. Not too sure about the glare between the couple.

So far, this is my favorite family picture. The lighting on this portrait is just beautiful, and so are the baby and the proud parents. I love this! 10
