There is a shade on the left cheek, the face is a bit shinny. I would have added the other shoulder too. A flag as background would make it more lively.

Great use of lighting. I've seen (and been in) a lot of these standard military portraits where the lighting is flat and uninteresting. You've done a great job of creating an engaging portrait here.
