Decadentby Ricky CleaveComment by jsabbarton: The subtlety works; but the composition would actually – I feel – be better if the angle didn't show quite so much of the steel structures reflection. For me, this draws the eye away from the central theme and does quite a bit of damage to the overall shot. I think its effect is more on the subliminal level; once you get your eyes sorted, it's a great shotâ€Â¦ (8) |

Decadentby Ricky CleaveComment by HBunch: This is a pretty nice shot of garbage. lol. I love the grass coming out of the water and I like the reflections in the water are also nice. Colors are very nice and the angle and framing/cropping are also good. I think the lighting conditions are favorable for the shot. Nice job. 8 Good luck in the challenge. ~hbunch7187~ |

Oregon State Capitolby Ricky CleaveComment by JMcLaug351: Wonderful composition. The large brooding shapes in the foreground add a good sense of scale. The lines in the negative space in the forground add a sense of motion and depth. The contrast between the dark forground shapes and the brilliant gold of the statue make both better. I like it. The expanding light shpe of the lower building and the sky rise and expand to the main point of interest. It starts in the lower center and expands upward and out to the left, a good balancing shape to the dark shape in the left. Good work. |
