Amphitheaterby CutterComment by zeuszen: The dramatic contrast between the two unique textures is so marvelously contained in this photo which is equally a meditation or an idyll.
Despite an appreciable tonal smoothness achieved in the lighter areas between the benches/steps, some textural details, unfortunately, appear to have been altered to the point of artifice via Neat Image or some other means of post-processing. This is most regrettable, IMO, beyond the middle (the canopy of the trees)- and in the background (on the rock face), where the intricacies sit.
I would have loved to see them rendered naturally, particularly in an image of such dynamic composition and remarkable potential. |

Are you still there?by CutterComment by ladyhawk22: I really adore this shot :-) Truly do. If you want to have some fun, I think you're about one step away from having a REALLY cool looking unicorn shot. Not sure how you would change the horn to one....but the lighting and the feel and the composition you have here could make for a really awesome fantasy shot as well, which might be an awesome print! Really love what you've done with this photo. |

Conversation at the Shelfby CutterComment by ladyhawk22: LOVE the colors in this shot! And i think that the people add a nice focal point. Just the right amounts of ground and air for me as well...nicely composed and wouldn't change a thing! |

The Glacial Silenceby CutterComment by ladyhawk22: Really nice colors on this shot....even though there isn't tons of color contrast, the colors you do have really add drama to the scene. You can practically feel the temperature of the air. Great shot! |

Antecedentby CutterComment by ladyhawk22: This photo really gives the feeling that this guy is in his own part of the world. If that's the feeling you were going for, well done! The lighting looks good to me. It's perhaps a hair too soft for my tastes, but I agree that there has to be that bluriness and softness to achieve the purpose of the shot. Nicely done! |
