You got a few good details in the image. Not only is the Starbucks pop culture but so isn't the cell phone. What would really have brought this one over the top is if the two folks walking would have been two guys. That would definitely catch much of what is happening today. Anyway, 7 because it is a bit pixelated and I don't score much above 8 anyway.

This reminds me of the "fake miniature" technique - a really nice use of gradual blur in the background building to punch out the foreground. The couple walking away appear to be stepping off into a different reality.

I've looked at this several times and the same thing hits me each time. The Starbucks storefront portion of the photo is spot on. The inclusion of the pedestrians is also a nice addition, but the very bright upper right hand corner of the image is very distracting and pulls attention away from these great elements.
