This is a great idea, and the candy is well lit and focused. However, the darkness in the background lends an ominous quality that doesn't work for the idea. Either more light in the back, or a completely black background would be more appealing.
It would have been great to get some light under that pressed glass and get more sparkle in it.

This is one of my 2 10s in this challenge. I love the choice of black and white. The way both subjects appear to be looking in the opposite direction drew me in. I love the fact that the boxer looks like he's trying to check in on the kitten. ) I'd like to see this one in color.
