Red Wheels.JPGby artvetComment by SDW: 1. I agree, love the colors.
2. I like your approach at the subject.
3. But something is distracting me. I know the blown out sky is one thing, but something else. Is it possibly over saturated? Or over sharpened? I just cant put my finger on it. I am an amateur so I just cant figure it out. what about the picture as a whole is making my eyes jump around? As Ecce Signum said "it screams b&w" but that would be a shame to lose the rich colors.
BUT MOST OF ALL IT IS A GOOD PHOTOGRAPH WITH GREAT COLORS.
NOTE: This is an amateur opinion |

Red Wheels.JPGby artvetComment by Ecce_Signum: I agree with Aznym, the colours are excellent. As for the leaves, rather than crop them I'd like to see more and make the background 1/3rd leaves, 1/3 trailer then the wheels. The mood of this picture seems to be screaming black and white to me but it would be a shame to lose the rich colours. The little bit of sky is slightly distracting but not overly. |

Red Wheels.JPGby artvetComment by aznym: Colours: aboslutely love them.
Composition: It's ok, I don't find it special, and yeah, I do find the top part a bit distracting. Slightly less of the leaves might work well. Then again, maybe this is what you intended.

Female Bison in the Wildby artvetComment by moodville: I like what looks like aspens in the background, they add a nice background and good color that continues with the grass. The exposure is good and you can see the wonderful textures of the fur. The composition of filling the frame with the bison is good but the pose itself is rather static. It works as a profile shot showing off the frame of the bison but it just lacks some interest. It's quite hard, especially in the wild, to find different or unusual poses of well-photographed animals. |
