What kind of birds are these "parrots"?

Woodpecker.jpgby artvetComment by cghubbell: This is a Pileated Woodpecker... Not an easy bird to get a clean shot at, so just havig it outweighs the technical flaws in this shot (branch obstructions, etc.). I haven't been able to get one yet, but have been trying. Nice job! |

Bird-2.jpgby artvetComment by Ecce_Signum: I'm no bird expert but it may be some sort of wagtail? Great shot that may be made better with a litle more light on the eye and reduce the bg noise a little. Whilst the bg colour is very bright I still come back to the bird, well done. |
