The tree has a nice silouette to it. I would suggest increasing the contrast just a bit for more interest.

A nice idea, but the bacground for me is very distracting. The empty bottles and the shirt take away from an otherwise good shot. The blurred portion on the right is also a little distracting.

I like the idea of this photo. Good focus and DOF. The stuff strewn around the person is not really necessary. I think it would have been better just seeing all grass or off in the distance you could faintly see the last remains of a picnic. Also, what looks like a pant leg should have been cropped off. It is too distracting.

This might have done better in the "motion freeze" catagory. There is implied action but no movement, no blur, nothing that says "fast"

Can't believe I'm going to say this, but there's too much in focus. The subject is obviously the two in front fighting for the ball. It would have helped if you could have adjusted your depth of field to blur out the background.
