from memory Ken it was around 11am with sun behind the buildings and my intention only was to get a backlit silhouette of the buildings and flag pole with a great sun effect but i ended up with an over exposed shot with lens flare so i added more flare and coloured the sky and lightly sharpened and liked the end result.

I think these are one of the coolest flies I've seen. First saw one when Roz posted her pic. I like the "up close and personal" treatment on its head/face. It's cool you got a shot with the proboscis extended too.
