I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are
near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry
in this challenge.

Unfortunately, candids of animals are really not what I look for in a good candid. Animals are aware and both unaware at the same time of a photographer, nor do they care either way. Too easy, no comfort zone lost. It's a 2 for me.

excellent DOF, nice detail in the feathers. Since you don't have the bottom half of the bird, a tighter crop might be in order. 6

Sorry, don't see the connection to the challenge. ??? In regards to the image - it's a very nice capture of this hawk. Love the bokeh in the background. A little hot on the head but nothing super detrimental to the impact of the photo. Good luck in the challenge.

Oh, the animal problem. Whilst not exactly outside the challenge definition, I can't help but feel that most voters will actually consider it so. Nice shot, although lacking some exposure and processing control around the head and eye.
